Compare the latest drivers available for download with the ones presently installed in Device Manager reached by right clicking the Start Menu. Updating drivers from the Device Manager or Windows Update is rarely enough.

The most basic thing we need to learn to maintain a PC is keep the latest manufacturer’s drivers installed from their Support Downloads web page. Start with Step 4 to turn off Startup freeloaders which can conflict and cause issues, then Step 7 to check for infection the most thorough way, then step 10 to check for damaged System Files, and also Step 16 to test a new Local Admin account.

Then continue with the other steps to go over your install most thoroughly. Uncheck the box for Recommended Settings to choose the exact version and bit rate for the target PC only.

If that fails go back to Troubleshoot Options to try a Reset. If that fails choose Install Now, then Custom Install, then at the drive selection screen delete all partitions down to Unallocated Space to get it cleanest, click Next to let it create needed partitions and start install – this makes it foolproof.

It is a better install than any amount of money can buy and a great learning experience that will make you the master of your PC because you will learn what works best and how to apply it with your own hands. I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and keep me posted. I will keep working with you until it’s resolved.

– Windows 10 does not boot into safe mode free

PC working fine this morning, tried it after lunch about an hour ago , and it boots to a blue screen that says it encountered a problem with startup and will reboot.

After 2 tries, it finally comes up in a screen where I can try advanced options; Things I’ve tried from there:. Tried doing Startup repair. That went for quite some time maybe minutes , it also said it couldn’t repair the issue. Tried starting in Safe Mode with networking I’m using it in safe mode now, and it seems relatively functional.

But, now I’m going to try and reboot in “normal” mode and see what happens. I am not confident. Wondering what else I might try while in Safe mode? Appreciate any input on possible fixes to this issue. Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn’t help. Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community.
