I may be a bit lost or something, but I can’t find the download section for the Windows Installer? My laptop is running the Windows preinstalled by the manufacturer, so I don’t have an installation CD or flash drive.

I do have a product key printed underneath the laptop, for Home Basic, and the Home Premium Key for the Windows on my other laptop whose motherboard got borked so I can probably use that too since that laptop won’t be repaired anymore. I can only find instructions on how to install and stuff, but nowhere to download said installer for me to burn to a disk or put in a flash drive. Of course I can probably go use some more unofficial routes to get an installer and simply use one of the legit activation keys I have, but I’d rather not do that unless there’s no other choice.

Meaning I actually have to burn them, I can’t use them for install from flash drive? My original hard drive failed, and this current installation of Home Basic was done by the shop where I bought a new hard drive from, using the key printed underneath the laptop. There is no recovery disk for Windows now, so I have to use a generic installer.

I also have downloaded the drivers and related software from the manufacturer site, as well as their special software for automatically installing their latest provided drivers, so it would simply be install Windows and run that software to get the correct drivers.

I have already tested it to update my current drivers. I also want to upgrade to Home Premium using the unused Key I have, and I believe that a clean install would be better in the long run. The Home Premium key was from a laptop whose motherboard got broke liquid damage. It’s not fake since I connected to the internet and verified that key when I had to reinstall Win7 Premium on that device a while back. Since that laptop is not coming back anyway, I was thinking of using the key for that Windows OS.
