Yeah, that may even be part of the issue. One big GPO having to be processed at boot I would, at the very least, make a new GPO just for the folder redirection. Keep it exactly as is for now, if you want. Just pull it out of that one huge one to see if that helps.

After adding Domain Computers to the filter it popped right away. I will continue to monitor and go from there. We do have some instances where we have service account or other users that are used across all sites that we do not want the my documents pushed across the wan.

Thus far that seems to be doing the trick however. Use the scripts below to further make sure your GPOs are setup with the proper permissions. And while Domain Computers do work, Authenticated Users as Read permissions is still the best practice. You’ve removed Authenticated Users from the scope tab that’s fine but then you have to add the Authenticated users group to your Delegation tab with READ permissions The Authenticated Users group is one of several security principals in Windows that correspond with certain roles, types of logon sessions, and so on.

Each security principal has a corresponding SID. At any rate, you are correct. This topic has been locked by an administrator and is no longer open for commenting. We just got don You probably don’t want this as a solution, but at least as a testing step – try deleting the profile on a PC and login again with a fresh profile and see if the folder redirection works. I’ve found that folder redirection is really finicky and often a profile delete is required after a change. It’s annoying. We’re migrating users to OneDrive at the moment and changing their redirection settings from a home folder to a onedrive location and we have to do a profile reset for every user.

Already tried that. Deleting the user works. But it’s not really a solution I have over users ;. By profile reset what do you mean exactly? Deleting the user on his local workstation and have him re-log to recreate his profile? For info i did the dcdiag. It passed everything except replication which is normal since the other server is offline until officially decomissioned. The folder redirection policy hasn’t been applied. It’s been delayed until the next sign-in because the group policy sign-in optimisation is in effect.

For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base: How to back up and restore the registry in Windows. You can decrease the update interval for the Well-Known folder cache by changing two registry values for the KnownFolderSettings subkey.

These values control the intervals that are used to update the Well-Known folder cache, based on the success or failure of queries. By default, there is no KnownFolderSettings subkey. Instead, you must create this subkey. To create the KnownFolderSettings subkey and its values, follow these steps:.
